it turns out that if i don't put scales on my dragon heads i get uncomfortable

top head pattern is a single continuous piece. because scales have to be sewn on every inch of visible space, i like to piece things together into pieces as large as I can. these pieces will later be glued down, but the larger they are, the less likely I am to make a placement error during that step. it took just about 3 months for me to do scales for head #1, so I suspect it'll also be around Jan/Feb by the time scales are complete here.
