Matthias was actually a mouse, the enemy of the book, Cluny the Scourge, was a rat. But the background design and name click to Redwall. ^..^

Wasn't talking of fault, I'm fairly sure he does know as well, if only for the fact it's probably been pointed out more times than he cares to think about. XD Was just mentioning to RFT as he included 'species' in his list. Thinking on it now, I'm not sure if 'rat' and 'mouse' are in fact the same species. Oo' I mentioned it anyhow. XD And it is a wonderfully done piece, especially the wood texture look of the background.

The name actually was originally a role playing character of mine (a werewolf of all things). When I started writing in the Metamor Keep story universe twelve years ago (http://metamorkeep.com/), I made myself into a rat, and rat has stuck with me ever since (triceratops is a powerful alter ego).

And I am definitely a RAT, not a mouse. But mice are cool too.

He's actually my personal character in the Metamor Keep story universe (http://metamorkeep.com/), which is furry fantasy, with a few Redwallish traits, but not really inspired by it. Neither was my name actually. Only after the fact did I realize what I'd done!

Amazing how those quirks poke up when you least expect. I read The Fountainhead, main character Roark. And over a year later wrote a poem which has moved toward a novelette with the main character Roak (roh-uhk). XD I look forward to peeking at your story. ^..^

*chuckles* Yeah, those little things influence in many strange ways! I don't know how many characters I've named based on names found on my Classical CDs or on the backs of my numerous Math textbooks!
