Holly was alive during the end of the Trade Era, and a slave at a time where owning slaves was very controversial. The property of a wealthy werewolf family, Holly was a kitchen worker, assigned busing tables and cleaning plates with the other kitchen slaves. This left her plenty of opportunity to snatch scraps from the tables after meals, and her relations with the other kitchen slaves were good. Both she and her brother, (a purblind albino kept for novelty) were comfortable, even after regulations prohibiting slavery had been passed and stayed on as paid live-in staff.

Worth noting that the 'whiskers' are just decorations.
