"It's always good to reconnect with an old friend..."

About 8-9 years ago, I was a bit of a fiend for art requests, back before I really knew better.
I asked Ray to draw a character I had come up with, Mistress Skunkbot, and he obliged me and drew a colored sketch for me.
It was a gorgeous piece and I absolutely did not deserve what I got at the time.
Fast forward to about two weeks ago, I sent Ray a message on Twitter apologizing for my behavior, and he said it was alright. I still felt a bit bad about how I had acted, so I asked if I could commission him, and he said yes.
What I commissioned was this piece here.
Seeing Mistress Skunkbot again brings up feelings. Reconnecting, reunion, reuniting. It's a strange feeling, but a good one. I asked for black & white because it reminds me of a photograph, and I have to say, I'm more than pleased with the result.
