A side view of my Deinonychus mask, a long-term project I've only made progress on in the last couple years. Made to be as realistic as possible, it's life-sized and based on a skeletal reconstruction by Scott Hartman; I'd do a few things differently now, but as it is, I'm pretty proud of it.
I'd like to start selling masks like this, so if you're interested, feel free to contact me!

Aaah thank you! I know dinosaur masks are not super common, and the ones I have seen were impressive but weren't based on a real raptor species...
The funny thing is, the base is made from some pretty flimsy stuff I had on hand at the time-- matte board, wire, unused hair ties for the jaw elastic... :'D You get to be pretty resourceful when you have basically 0 budget, and it's held up well for the four? or so years I've had it. I'm opening for commissions on masks like this soon, but I've definitely learned how to use much better materials since then! ^^

Aah thank you, that means a lot!
Yep, faux fur for the feathers, and the snout is a very soft microsuede that has a neat skin texture, but I got it years ago and have never seen anything like it since ;-;
I've sent a small journal overseas once, and though the process was daunting I wouldn't mind doing it again if it meant I got to make a really cool mask for someone who would really enjoy it! ^^

If you think you can make most of it yourself, a blank base is about $60-70 USD; for a full, finished mask it's $300+ depending on markings. I totally understand being kinda broke though, if nothing else you have an idea of how to save! ^^
As always, thank you~!
