"[...]But I won't, I promise. I'm sorry, okay? I just--"
"I know what your promises are worth: you promised before, and look how well that went! We're so late now!" she yelled, shoving him toward the door.
"YOU'RE MAKING US LATE WITH ALL THIS ARGUING!" he shouted, moving toward the door, but also shoving back at her to keep from being physically manipulated by his sister. He bared his teeth and his eyes flashed at her in the light of the pale winter sun that landed upon him from the just-opened door.
He turned and stepped out, acting as though he had the last word. Indrys wasn't about to let him get away with that.
"WHOSE FAULT IS THAT?!" she screamed at his retreating back, moving to step out behind him, staring daggers into his back. How dare he try to make it out to be her fault they were late, it was all his doing!
"SHUT UP ALREADY!" Vygo roared, rounding on Indrys, snarling at her. His level of volume startled her, not to mention many other clan-members within earshot. He narrowed his eyes at her. In a chillingly calm tone, he said, "I'm out of here, I don't need this. I don't need you."
Turning, he strode away quickly, only narrowly avoiding stomping his feet like a disgruntled child might. Although he harboured a deep upset at his sister, he was more angry with himself than anything, for allowing his patience to run out with the light of his life, and for saying such a hurtful, untrue thing, in the heat of the moment. He regretted it even while it was still coming out of his mouth, but with how much her words had hurt him, he had felt like there was no choice but to strike back with the most potent verbal attack he could conceive of.
Moreover, he was angry at himself for breaking his promises to her in the first place, which had led to everything else. He had only re-stoked the fire and let her continue sleeping out of his love for her, the effect she had on him. How could such pure things have steered him wrong?
"I DON'T NEED YOU EITHER!" came a shrill, defiant screech. The draconic male wheeled around to look back, but Indrys had already darted away.
Turning back toward his destination, Vygo's eyes stung as he looked out upon the camp, which was itself buried in snow, much like the field of love for Indy, which he had held in his heart. It felt like his heart itself was becoming encased in ice.
He wondered, idly, if his tears might also freeze."[...]

It seems a rift has opened between the twins! D8
This is part of a long story I got
Amethystine to write for me some time ago. We planned to post it entirely along with several illustrations I made to accompany it, and additionally, we'd also sell an artpack with some exclusive illustrations. The idea was dropped for some personal reasons, but maybe in the future, after some editing and tweaking, well get the back to it! But for now you can see the illustrations (minus the exclusive ones, these are kept privately :P), and some snippets of the story!
However, if you'd like to read another story about the twins, you can read one [here]. Be warned, it gets NSFW!

I love the sky in this, and the errant snow. You can tell exactly how little snow is falling, just the smallest amount drifting
down in the soft, overcast morning light. *sighs happily*
And then.. there's the yelling dragonpeople, too, and you can just imagine their shouts breaking the early morning calm.
Or not so early, given how the snippet talks about how late they've become, for whatever they need to go and do!
Anyway, the patterns/designs on the yurt are amazing. Are they unique on ever domicile? :D

Knowing what I know of the twins, this is almost like a far more dramatic version of when you oversleep, then curse yourself out for letting yourself oversleep. Only your soul is split between two siblings, and they are very unhappy with each other right now. XD
Man, I love the twins.
Man, I love the twins.
Thank you very much!
This pic in particular is 3536x1777, though I've started using larger filer now because I intend to sell prints in the near future. I use Photoshop and an amazing plugin called Lazy Nezumi Pro, which acts as an stabilizer among many other functionalities, it really helps getting crisp lines. I really recommend it if you're a PS user!

just look at all that beautiful detail work, you really put so much love and work into everything you do!
tbh... I wasn't really interested in the twins at first for a while but all the back story and culture and thought and love you put into everything you draw and write into their universe...well, OK I admit it! I'm hooked now!

I love the number of emotional pieces you have created for these two - and what's better is that there is a range of emotions, good and bad, that intensify eachother so well. Seeing these two so fiery with anger in this moment emphasises the strong bond and love they have for each other.
Of course, as always, your skill in execution is just exceptional and a real joy to be able to see. I've seen your really develop as an artist and constantly challenging yourself with so much passion for what you love.
Stunning. :)
