Yes, I spent the weekend in Transylvania, formerly a hungarian landscape (which ended with World War 1 lost by Austria, our Habsburg overlords) and currently part of Romania. Here, I saw Vlad Dracul's castle, where the legend began.
Now, there's no bloodsucking creep here. The legendary vampire figure was made up by generations of spreading the legend around, and as time came, Vlad Dracul's story got a little... Obscured. However, blood WAS served as a drink in a far different, more brutal form, as those who fell before Vlad and his goons became the source of said blood, which the victors, including our soon to be made up to be a vampire count friend, Vlad Dracul, the real Dracula, filled into mugs and cups and drank it, like the savages Vlad really was. Vlad Dracul also loved impaling people, hence "Vlad the impaler". Just give him a long wooden stick, and He'd make sure to shove it down to the ground, and force Your body onto it probably ALIVE!!! Don't mess with the real life dracula! Of course, Hunyadi made sure this monster was punished. And punished He was.
I may have to add that this castle is not where He lived. As far as I heard, Vlad was imprisoned here I guess. Otherwise, He never intentionally set foot here. His name was associated with Bran castle somehow.
