I remember this! I remember exactly what I was doing when I saw this too! I had a freind over and his father had come to pick him up, gone to the toilet, and snuck into my bedroom to take a peek into my internet bookmarks.

Ah, what an old friend we have here! I still love how the remnants of her pants are draped about her middle like that. It truly captures the sudden stretch she just did!

I like telling the story in one picture when I can, and the torn clothing really makes the transformation more believeable.

Not always; a lot of artists just like to have the clothing all explody every which way. Here you've had the clothes rip along the seams which is what would really happen. That's what makes this stand out --- verisimilitude!

Whoo! "Verisimilitude" is a word I hadn't heard or read since my late High School days. I even drew a "Joke" about it showing a fantasy space ship with the word on the prow. The joke was that it was something that could not be "Real" in my part of the Universe, but there it was "Real" on the page. My teacher encouraged me to seek some other occupation instead of being a cartoonist.

LOL! It is a rather subtle joke there. I'm surprised you haven't seen it much; it's not a word I use a ton, but it's not a once-a-decade kind of word for me either.
