- Imagine (Fox Feat Colson) -
Mine and
rendition of "Imagine", originally by John Lennon. I'm a huge Beatles nut, as a lot already know XD so this was a LOT of fun.
I've added a few new features to make it more distinguishable from the original. Colson did a fantastic job with the vocals, I can't praise him enough.
All the instruments are performed by myself on the keyboards.
Thanks to those that take a listen!

Greetings,
My name is Inflatable Zebra. I listened to your John Lennon tune "Imagine" and I realized that you would be possibly be interested in joining my Yahoo group called "Cool Cat Furs". It is a group for furs who like early rock music since you are a Beatles fan. The web site is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/coolcatsfur/. Thank you.

wow fantastic both of you *bows* you have both done a fantastic tribute to a great legend. the backing music sounds something to what it would do if it was more upto date. colson the vocals were spot on and the way you sing this song makes it feel like it has your own special touch on it.
You keep harping on this repeatedly, and I'm curious as to why - do you equate singing on key with use of Antares AutoTune? I've said it once and I'll say it again - I don't snap to tune! I can hold short notes without much modulation in my voice and have it be pretty on tune - this doesn't mean it's been autotuned! If you'd like, I can upload a screenshot of a waveform analyzer of my voice to show you the modulations and occasional pitch drifts. If I was autotuning, there'd be a distinct lack of modulation patterns and very little bitch drift or bend.
The most I did was add EQ and very subtle reverb touches. I'm actually quite surprised at a couple of the other users comments. Even if such things were used by Colson, it doesn't make it any less appealing to listen to, at least to me. I don't really share or acknowledge the apparent "seriousness", that a couple seem to be trying to press upon it.
The list of covers that I enjoy has been increasingly getting larger because of talented muses such as yourselves. Brought a tear to my cheek. UGGH IM sucker for Beetles lol. I would analyze it a bit more but I will just enjoy the magic of the song. And I had to enjoy it. And Made 10 others enjoy it while typing this. So huzzah. I miss you focie xD. With that I do take my leave <blushes>
Whoa. I hope this is the first of many Beatles songs to come.
Fox Amoore: You never fail, never falter, and you continuously amaze me every time you submit music. You take something old and give it new life with your breath taking musical talent.
Colson: You have a beautiful voice that I envy; it is the perfect choice to go along with Fox's music. Your range is impressive, your tone flawless, and your consistency unwavering.
You two are going places.
I would love to collaborate with the both of you some time; my voice isn't too rusty. ;D

*cries* omg... one of my favorites... Damn that's good. You are amazing, fox and colson. That is simply fantastic... I definitely cried listening to this. So good... I can go on and on, but I think I'll stop before I become annoying.
Again fox, you never cease to amaze me.

Never been a Beatles fan but this song was very well done. The vocal was in tune with the piano and it gave the piece a nice melody to stand on its own. Fox is always outstanding in his work on the keyboard. I dont have the pleasure in knowing Colson all that well, but he does havea great voice. Better than some I've heard in the past from other people that they think they can sing. Your collaborations are always heart felt that you two really enjoy your music. Great Work!
Okay, I admit I'm not a fan of the original song. Also, each and every cover that I had heard to date has done pretty much the same thing with the song that the original did. Not even my all-time favourite singer (Darren Hayes) could improve the song for me at all.
Congratulations, you have done the impossible and recorded a version of this song that I actually like, and that I would put on my mp3 player. I sincerely hope that you two record another song together, because this was awesome.
