This is pretty much the story of how all of the Fluff Dragons got too much life force in their bodies.
It was a peaceful evening when all of a sudden there were strange tremors. Erupting from the earth at the (fluff dragon's) island's center, came a Necromancer on a Geyser of Life Force magic. It had bewitched everyone and started changing them in strange ways that would have screwed everything up, pretty much...
Dogryme saw this change affect Runa, the love of his life even as a younger fluff dragon. Fearing the worst, he resists the magic's influence to the best of his ability and crawls over the edge of the cliff, with only the reanimated dead to cheer him on against their tyranical ruler.
He was not spiritually unscathed, as while he fell through the void of spectres, a ghost flew into him. He became more like a phantom of sorts, giving in to his darker influences. Eventually he made it through, but a shadow of his former self. So enraged he was at the arrogant necromancer that he had tackled him to the ground, attacking him and blasting him in the torso with fireballs till his cloak was nought but ash.
The poor fluff dragon needed a short break after destroying the necromancer's body, so he gnawed on one of his leg bones. With no more energy, as it had been consumed by Dogryme unknowingly, he was no longer able to have any more influence over the island. The bone marrow had been delicious, and what may have begun Dogry's other strange hungers...
He emerges to find everything is almost back to normal, but at a bit of a cost. While the life force is not lethal radiation, the island has pretty much been nuked to hell and back with Life Force, bringing things sentience that probably should not have it. Dogry does offer a solution, they just have to live with it.
... Hmm, who was that skeleton? He sure is quite a dapper fellow, and he doesn't seem to pop up very often at all. And come to think of it, where did he go after all this? I guess you could say, the Fluff Dragons have plenty of skeletons in their closet...
