...This might be out of place.
When you look at this picture, there is no background, SUPPOSEDLY making it more difficult to set the characters into well defined space, like removing the background from a photo should do. Do you supposed it's possible to give them a defined visual space and almost... like... some sort of... 3D-ish effect with certain shape placement? I have no idea honestly.

It's an idle thought, if there's a way to sketch to create a feeling of depth in the image. JUST like a photoshop-ed photograph. Some technique or slight detail I'm missing. It's not here as I can tell but i thought i'd share something silly. sorry.
