Oh this is FUN! Have you ever climbed a mountain one semitone at a time? Come on, let's go for a climb! It's a simple melody which grows as it goes on and gradually steps through the whole C Major scale, ending up back where it was, but with a lot more instruments helping you along!
The title is based on Nólsoy, not quite a mountain but a super steep hill on the island of Nólsoy which I clambered up on my trip to the Faroe Islands. So, it gets a piece named after it! And a very bouncy one too.
Full instrument list for this piece is bass, drums, xylophone, flutes, piano, tuba, clarinets, harp, glockenspiel, violions and tubular bells.
