Pharabos was a Faro theme SuperHuman Warrior Beast introduced on episode 24 of the Great Mazinger series – he was the third tallest beast overall in the entire army, after the Aquatic Gasrose and the Gigantic SuperHuman Sorgos. His real human face was in the Faro's forehead. In his arsenal, the Beast had a laser beam that fired from his belt buckle, as well could fire his own rocket Punches like the Mazingers do, compel with it super strength and size, he was a tough opponent.

Pharabos is seeing fighting with a robotic duplicate of Great Mazinger, demonstrating his skills in front of his masters, greatly pleasing them when he succeed, Argos and the Great General give Pharabos to Julicaesar and is sent out to fight Great. Meanwhile, Shiro and Borot save a woman in distress who proclaims to had been attacked by a mechanical monster. The women, which happened to be Marquis Janus in disguise, who later drugs the gang with a sleeping potion and implants a mind control device on Boss who unbeknownst to him, joins the side of the bad guys – the Flying Fortress takes off and Pharabos is launched and Great Mazinger is launched and as soon he arrives he fights a tag team between the Pharabos and Borot, in which, the beast punches Great in the stomach much it damages the interior. June launches Venus to assist, grabbing Borot and throwing him onto the Beast – Great Mazinger throws the Great Boomerang and hits Pharabos in the neck, weakening him, but soon after Great experiences malfunctions and crashes. Janus and Pharabos retreat as Great walks backs to base for repairs, in which the extent of the damage on Great becomes apparent, allowing Tetsuya to only use the Great Burner on maximum power.

As Boss returns to his base, Shiro attacks him with a hammer (and it is is hilarious, the two fighting in the Borot cockpit as Shiro beats the shit out of dude 3 times his size - Poor Boss, he never gets a break:D) – June arrives, and Janus orders Boss to attacks June, but she disarms him and Shiro, Nuke and Mucha pin him down, allowing June to take the device off. Afterward Pharabos goes into action and Venus is launched to divert his attention, Boss, looking for payback for what was done to him, joins in the fight, but are rapidly dispose of and Pharabos continues towards the Science Fortress – Venus and Borot attempt to catch up and are continuously overpowered by the Beast. Tetsuya launches Great much against the better judgment of Dr. Kabuto and fights Pharabos and arrives, only to be constantly taken down by Pharabos.

Pharabos then grabs Great in bear hug maneuver with the attempt to crush him, Tetsuya takes the opportunity to fire the Burner on full power, over heating both of them – a melted Pharabos releases Great and Tetsuya takes the opportunity to slice him with the Great Boomerang, decapitating him and exploding in close proximity it and Great falls back. As Janus blames Julicaesar for the failure, the Great General replies that Great was still in considerable bad shape, and perfect to finish him off, setting the events in the next episode against the Warrior Beast Iscarius.

He has appeared in other iterations of the franchise, in particular, the Mazinkaiser vs The Great General OVA and the Shin Mazinger Zero vs the Great General manga – in both he share the same updated design, his overall shape is the same, but instead the colors of the anime, he looks like his body was made of stone, like a Pyramid.
