Blue Macaw's Logo Bunch #131 - TV Channels #54
Welcome back to the show, folks. Today, after looking at his request on Noggin/The N, TheWalkingPencil10 on Deviantart wanted to see more TV channels to be decorated on this show. In fact, his suggested to me 3 parts of his request and one of them is not even a TV Channel episode. So, Part 1 features 2 well-known TV channels in the good-ol' USA. First off, we have the National Broadcasting Company, or many people know it as NBC. Launched on June 19th 1926 by RCA, General Electric, and Westinghouse, NBC became the first ever TV affiliate to ever be brought on US TV, behind them were ABC and CBS. Over the years, it broadcasted a huge variety of programming from Dramas like the Law & Order series and Comedies like Will and Grace, to Reality shows like America's Got Talent and The Voice, to Late Night shows like The Tonight Show and Saturday Night Live, and even broadcasting daily news including The Today Show and Dateline NBC. The famous Peacock logo of NBC was introduced in 1986 during the final episode of the 60th Anniversary Special. It's so famous that it even has a sign: a sign to promote the channel's early color broadcasting. The colors are as follows:
Yellow - News
Orange - Sports
Red - Entertainment
Purple - Stations
Blue - Network
Green - Productions
The logo would go on to be the main label of NBC as well as appearing on other NBCUniversal channels including CNBC, MSNBC, NBC Universo, and The Golf Channel. It will also go to live up in its life in the present day, in my opinion if you ask me. Anyways, the second channel that he requested to me on this part is another Viacom channel called VH1 (VH1, VH1-W) (or Video Hits 1 if you initialized that). After the success of their sister channel, MTV, Viacom wanted to make another channel to be like MTV (No, Not MTV2, that's coming soon.) And thus, VH1 was born on New Year's 1985, replacing Turner Broadcasting's Cable Music Channel. The channel usually shows music videos back in the day dedicated to a lighter and softer side of popular music, however like MTV, it now shows music-related reality shows such as the Love & Hip-Hop series, Behind the Music, and the I Love... series, as well as acquired programming like Will Smith's The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Wayans Bros., Everybody Hates Chris, and The Jamie Foxx Show. The logo from 2003 we're focusing on, is kinda like Nickelodeon and MTV in the 80s and early 90s. You got the VH1 wordmark on the left with the feather-like shape on top-left part of the V, but on the other side, you got an empty box that usually indicates which item is going to be placed in there. Like MTV, Noggin, and Comedy Central, it sometimes changes color around the time. This is one logo of VH1 that I remember the most, alongside the previous logo. In fact, it will be nice if somebody give me a suggestion on the present MTV and VH1 logos, too, to make sure they're sisters with each other. COME ON, BRING IT ON! Anyways, that's Part 1. Tune in next time for Part 2 coming soon. If you love this episode and Logo Bunch in general, make sure you give it a thumbs up, leave a comment in the comments section down below, and follow my adventures in Deviantart and FurAffinity.
