And I really liked how this turned out :D I hope you put an epilogue on it, because I'd like to have some closure. I can't say that his relationship with Ryan was unexpected, but I liked it ^_^

Aw, hey, I thought this part was real sweet, Davage. And hey, called it! Anyway, sure, it might be tough writing about a relationship if you've never been in one, but this is fiction, man. All you gotta do is write how you'd -like- a relationship to go. Throw it a few curve balls, if ya want. But either way, lookin' forward to more from ya!

Such a cute series. Blake is a very personable and lovable character, and I can't help wanting him to find happiness.

I'm glad you think so x3 And he pretty much does, right there at the end. Or at least, some form of it.

It's so hard for me to extract myself when writing in 1st person though D: I very consciously have to say to myself, "No, I wouldn't do that, but he would" or vice versa.

That's pretty normal, no worries there. The longer you write from a certain character's perspective and try to think the way they would think, making his kind of choices will become more automatic. But it's not an easy thing, to ignore your own feelings as you write.

What I'm mostly worried about right now is what direction to take the story in next D: I feel a bit written into a corner. I'm not entirely without ideas, but I'm not a huge fan of the ones I have >.>

Well, one thing you can analyze to work on a story is your main character's desire. What is he trying to achieve, what is he doing to accomplish his goal, and how well is he succeeding? Right now, as of this last installment, Blake's desire is to try to make his first relationship succeed, or at least see where it goes. If you picture him ending up happy, then you can tie it up nicely and call it a day.

However, you could make it so that desire of a relationship changes. Maybe circumstances come up that make him view his relationship as a hassle or a burden, even though he cares deeply for Ryan. Or maybe his priorities have to change at college, and a stronger desire overpowers the one for a relationship.

You can also tell a lot about a story's future by it's beginning. You began in the doctor's office with the father's tension looming over the scene, so maybe a return to those issues is called for. They seemed solved on the surface, but perhaps something's changed in the time that's passed.

Speaking from my own relationship experiences, you're doing just fine. Just remember that you're writing characters. not relationships, and listen to them. It's hard to go wrong that way.

And 565 pounds... whee! I'm glad he tapered off some (my enjoyment of hugely fat furs aside), since he's getting into the "modern life wasn't designed for me" sizes as it is. Still, you know a chair's bound to give out sooner or later... heck,  tolstoy has had a chair break beneah him, and his RL self weighs "only" 300! Admittedly, Blake lives in a world where chairs are designed to take large animals, but still...

Looks good! I look forward to the resolution of the "hate notes", as well as any other tidbits on these two's relationship. Good writing!

He's tapered off for now, but it's still not stopped, remember ;) Fortunately, his height hasn't quit growing yet either, 'else he'd be immobile sooner than later xD And his body's supposed to be obese AND perfectly healthy/mobile.

Admittedly, I'm going to have to take some time to think out the next installment in the series. If I were to jump ahead to college years, there really wouldn't need to be a resolution to the hate notes. If I DON'T jump ahead... I'm going to have to pull something together :S I actually don't even know who's been putting them there myself.

Hmmmmmm what an interesting turn of events.

I'm actually in a slump with my stories as well so i know exactly how you feel..

There's a few things you could do though.. (just ideas off the top of my head)

-expand the relationship, them trying to work it out over the rest of the high school year and hopefully resolving happily with college

-the notes could be a bully or a shock twist with another friend he had or something to that nature

You know, I've also seen some scenes written where he enjoyed the feeling of being big and others where he didn't like it, that could tie into the relationship well. His new boyfriend does like his girth after all, and being with certain people can change how you feel about things. Heck, he could start liking being big entirely and enjoying it, which could be a good resolution to the notes if they stop because he doesn't care about them anymore. In real life, bullies do tend to stop if you don't care or be bothered about it, it could just stop for him as well.

When I write my stories, I tend to look back on my earlier chapters so i don't screw up continuity and try to make ideas based on earlier events. One I am still trying to think of how to write out and get ideas and stuff does have to do with my earliest chapter and things with my latest. You could tie the earlier ones in somehow I suppose.

Wow, I can write portions and fan ideas about your story but I can't think of anything for mine. X3 It's too bad I write best on a bus... Not going to be riding in one for a long time.. X3

I like how your stories are written quite small and covering a lot. With my own, I tend to write thirteen+ pages going into detail. ^^; Doesn't help when I decide to write parts for a chapter. That makes it even longer. ^^; I wasn't sure if the relationship was supposed to be a surprise or anything but in the last chapter end, I knew already who it was going to be before I read it. It's still an amazing story and I can't wait to read more! The final chapter or just a next chapter, I don't mind! I really hope you keep going with it. :3

I think this story is a bit unique, in that I cover slightly large expanses of time rather quickly, with some gaps for smaller portions of time. I did that originally so more of his growth would be seen, but I think it's serving well later in the story as well :)

That makes sense. I tend to skip around a bit too in my own. Heck, Chapter 0 of my own covered baby to age 18 with significant moments throughout those years in between.

Yes, exactly. I rather enjoy very large things, but I also like the more everyday life deals. I like how he has parents and school drama and all that good stuff.

wonderful story and i hope to see more and it happens. Relationships can be nice but can get complicated at times. It's a tricky business but i'm sure you'll get into one sooner or later
