where to begin? yes, this is something a bit strange and trippy. it's some abstract and random ideas I had that I decided to mesh together. it wasn't meant to be Halloween-themed, but it can be if you like.. I guess it could work. this was started in August however and chronologically, for me, it really belongs then.
one of the ideas I put into this, that I haven't shown so far, is that my character is completely colorblind, being born that way. however, he some times sees things that others don't seem able to, which is generally considered side-effects of his condition by those around him. anyway, the comic is meant to reflect the environment as seen from his point of view. I spent a while trying to decide whether or not he should be colorblind, but I ended up thinking it would be interesting.
secondly, there is a personal idea behind this. which revolves around the fact that my first Furry anniversary was in August, and I had been on this site for a year as well. what I'm currently interested in and how much I am so, goes up and down and fluctuates. but in August, it's like I was inspired about the same things and was in the same moods, that made me drawn to this fandom in the first place, back in August 2016. a year later it's like, for a bit, I felt inspired in the same way and remembered the sort of moods I was in. thus, the idea of something feeling like "it's the same as one year ago". does this make any sense? I don't know.
to comment on the art itself. this is probably my worst case so far, of sketching a simple and random idea, and then have it somehow turn more complicated and massive than I thought first, and above my actual skill level. but it's fun to see the result of all the work I ended up doing. I haven't done perspective much and I didn't look up on tutorials about that. so I probably broke some rules there.
