This is a creature I came up with for the factory planet in my story I am currently writing.
With gear jellyfish when coming up with its design I happened to be looking at a lampshade at the time of trying to think of machine ideas so I used the lampshades shape as the jellyfishes body and for the tentacles I made them look like copper wires and in terms of what it is swimming in. its swimming in a pool of oil.
