“Hello again. If you’ve been following the exploits of myself and my studies, such as with the Coral Dweller, Personal Daemons, technomancy, or whatnot then I’m pleased to see you again, friend. If not, welcome to my little study in this modern forum.
In my studies, I have found that there are three separate Crafts. Daycraft, Nightcraft, and Duskcraft. Each has its own properties and strong points, not to mention their own dangers and weaknesses. However, Nightcraft and Duskcraft are the ones with the most powerful shapeshifting abilities. Duskcraft, being the skill between Day and Nightcraft, is limited in ability, yet is tamer and easier to use than the raw power of Nightcraft, and especially one of its subcategories, Lunarmancy, or as it’s more commonly known, Mooncraft.
This form of Craft is so powerful, that while it is indeed a Nightcraft, so long as the moon is in the sky, it can be used, even during the day. However, the power of Mooncraft has its dangers, and sometimes the sway of the moon can overpower the sanity of man. Thus, only the most skilled of those with The Talent are able to use Mooncraft successfully. Those who have failed in the past were oftentimes the ones who started the werewolf scares in Europe, and possily even the beast of Bray Road in America. Thus, the common use of Mooncraft in shapeshifting is likely to have been what started the original forms of lycanthropy, and is also what probably causes the moon to have such sway for those with this affliction.
Thankfully, with the more modern advancements in the Crafts, such problems have become so rare that few in the present world believe that such things as the Crafts, let alone the things they can create, such as Werewolves, exist.”

Okay… now I get to talk about this thingie. ::Chuckles:: For the amount of thought and spirit I had intended for this piece, I think I may have sorely disappointed myself. I’d hoped for so much more from it. The pose is blander than it should be, and the smoky effects with the tribals don’t appear as smoky as I would like. I think that I may be doing more pieces with smoke effects, because I sorely need to practice with them. Thus, I the future, I may redo this piece. The original sketch, interestingly enough, used a female form instead of a male subject. However, upon a little consideration, I opted to have an image that I wouldn’t have to put under mature content, and used a male form with a carefully placed tail (which, looks awkward now. Oops). The original name for the image, oddly enough, had little to do with Crafts and the like, but was rather going to be called RibonDance, because like some people, ribbons too have two sides. Either way, it was a nice step away from my uber-biological scientific work with my Grahll.
Anywho... thanks for taking the time to look guys, and have a good day!
