A commission I bought from
ShembreOpheline as a gift for Exilo, and can I just say, I could not be happier. I wanted to be sure the picture was done by today, and gave the artist this deadline. Despite ME procrastinating in sending over the idea, the artist still managed to get it done three days ago, so needless to say I was deeply impressed and appreciative of her hard work. I also really like how she did the art. Xander, the wolf, looks so grouchy and grumbly while Sadie, the lioness, looks so warm and cuddly. She also did a great job with the sizes. Unlike the previous YCH I got from the artist, in this one, Xander is clearly larger than Sadie is, but a good old-fashioned glomp is enough to keep him pinned.
This picture takes place in Exilo’s “City-Verse” which he has been building for the past few months. Xander and Sadie are both “ferals:” sapient, four-legged animals. Though they can understand “Common” language, ferals aren’t capable of speaking it. Their vocal cords simply aren’t capable. For that reason, they wear specialized collars that allow for communication. As you can see, Sadie is still wearing her collar, but Xander has his off. While Xander can still speak “Feral,” which is mostly growls, snarls, and yaps, he can no longer speak Common.
Anyway, really happy this all turned out so good. So happy with this.
