"A son is better, even if he is born late,
when the father is dead;
seldom do memorial stones stand by the wayside,
unless one kinsman raises them for another"
- Hávamál
a rather quick drawing of Háulfr and the runestone he raised in honour of his father, Thorvard, who drowned at sea, which he visits from time to time.
the runes translate to; "Háulfr Thorvardsson made and raised this stone in honour of his brave father, who sailed the cold sea"
I rly like making moody drawings with Háulfr lmao

So awesome! We visited a massive Runestone in a Swedish forest a few weeks back, and it was basically saying something like "Kilroy was here". These stones were the Facebook of those times. :D Anyway, love this so much...the scenery, the atmosphere, the names, the clothing, and of course, the breed! Fjords are wonderful. <3
Indeed! <3 I've been collecting pics, as refs and inspiration; maybe you'd like them as well? https://drive.google.com/drive/fold.....kk?usp=sharing :) And I think so too! :D Might have to commission you to do a pic of her meeting Háulfr someday! :D
