We had such a good time at
fangcon that I just had to start my posters for the coming year. The theme is Disco Infurno in Fangtropolis. We are carrying the Fangtropolis (the "other" anthro city) into 2018. I don't know how many of you remember the famous Studio 54 in New York. It was off the hook back in the late 70's. This poster is a remake of one of their old advertisements.
We haven't gotten our date confirmation yet, thus the fall 2018 announcement.
Please feel free to comment and shoot an idea for a poster to me. Also, please give a fave to help keep the buzz going.

Hehe I only know of the club from a documentary I saw and my mom talked about the craze when it was around, I guess there was quite a buzz in New York for a time though we're Midwesterners. Very cool, scandalous but honestly sounds like it would have been fun to visit xD And if there was a furry version, that was be even cooler heh.
There was an event with Bianca Jagger (Mick Jagger's wife) where they had a birthday bash there. She was led across the stage on a white horse led by two naked guys in body paint and glitter. That was the springboard that made the place super famous. I'm not trying to emulate the club because it was a total den of drugs and sex and alcohol. I was just using it as an icon of the era. It was super hard to get into, so the stories go. They totally discriminated at the door and chose attendees by their fame status and/or looks.
Hehe yeah that's the story I heard too, sounds like a den of all vices basically lol xD Didn't one of the owners die of AIDS too and the place got closed down due to tax issues or something? Yeah I probably wouldn't have even tried to go as I wouldn't want all the catty comments about me lol xD And other various risks ^^'
But yeah I think you capture what I understand the spirit of the 1970s to be in America, sorry that was a broad statement, not meant in a bad way necessarily *nods*
