Back in college, I was invited to be one of two composers for a feature-length, independent, wholly-volunteer animated film. Unfortunately, I had to pull out my Senior year because of educational demands. This is something I had started to work on as a bit of mood music for this project--heavily inspired by Thomas Newman's style, which is more or less what the director wanted. I should flesh it out more and rerecord it with better sounds when I get the chance.
I found this burnt to an old CD whilst trying to find some other music. Enjoy.

i feel my feet in the loosening sand, standing in the shallow waves, deciding to return to the land, or swim away forever....
nice, Malcolm. It's great to hear more material from you.
Pardon my silence in your recent calamities, as I've been in no position to help... That may change in a few weeks, though.. heh. I wish you all the best of luck... you're certainly due for a nice twist of fate!
It soothes my soul to see you've received some assistance

I can't help but think of Eric William Barnum when I hear this. It reminds me of his choral piece "IV: The Rose of Midnight" When listening to this, I try to imagine choral voices in the background from 0:01-0:50 hehe. I miss choir so much, thanks for sharing us this lovely piece *hugs*
I would love to hear this fleshed out. It has good potential and I like it so far. And yes it does sound very movie-like. I was trying to imagine what would be happening during this music but I was too preoccupied with morning stuff. I usually have a lot to do in the morning.
