yeah.... when MMO's become a job. i had it in Wow, being in one of the top raiding guilds of the server was interesting.... but it sucked the fun out of it

I had a similar situation but in LOTRO, back in 2008-9. I became such a core member that when the beta was out for Siege of Mirkwood and I was the only one that made it in AND got to see the raid through to the end, plus the side stuff that was just as demanding but for small groups. Point is, aside from changes made when the game went live, I got promoted to fucking raid lead and I couldn't handle it. I quit the game. I was in 11th grade for crying out loud.

I was expected to balance school, homework, chores, and now handle end game planning and coordination. Not to mention at the time my class was the one that demanded the most skill to truly pull off, lore master. It was a balance between support, heavy CC, and burst damage. Even it's damage skills were CC and had to be timed right to be useful. I think the real breaking point was being made officer and put on the list of first people to have geared I'm end game stuff. I was like, third on the list behind the guild leader and vice leader. Too much pressure for a 17 year old.

I know the feeling, raiding content is so stressful to deal with. But at least the upcomming wow expansion looks to have a lot of content options to engage with, beside raiding.

There is a reason I mostly always play classes that are important but non essential.

I love how realistic it is to an actual online game when dealing with real life event situation.

not even at part where people have to do things extra specifically because of boss/battle patterns and skill cooldown timers.
but that complication usually isn't the issue if a group was organized before hand, its well... what's in this page XD, sudden life moments.
