Theta Meson (Makoto Kobayashi)
This MVC request and the one immediately preceding it reference two Japanese physicists (the other being Toshihide Masukawa) who postulated the existence of the bottom and top quarks in 1973 and received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2008 for this. The theta meson is not expected to be observed, since its mean lifetime is shorter than the timescale of the strong interaction.
