I don't get time to paint in traditional media very often, but when I do I like to explore vast, wonderful, and oftentimes mysterious places.
Sphere Mountain is one of those places, and it's name kind of says it all: it's a mountain that looks like a broken shell of a sphere. Of course I also included dragons, because who doesn't want dragons in their painting of a gravity-defying natural structure?
Painted this with acrylic on 12x16 wrapped canvas, and had a lot of fun with it! Now it hangs in my bedroom so I can think about fantastical places while I'm getting ready for bed.
