I tried to make Pierce look a little less bulky in his flashback, since it IS a flashback, so it'd make sense if he was skinnier. Also, I wanted to show a less than friendly side of Pierce. I'm trying to ballance out his character with some realistic flaws, and one big flaw he has is somewhat of a superiority complex where he thinks his large size makes him better than other creatures. ...In the present, this is still true, but Denny's one of the few small creatures he respects.
