Another old picture. I LOVE the original first three XCOM games (UFO Defense, Terror from the Deep, and Apocalype), the only thing I hate is that damn overpowered Mind Control Feature.

Anyway, in the game, you get used to having a lot of fresh recruits on your team, since even the most well trained soldiers can be killed from a single shot from a plasma rifle. However, since the best armor in the game takes a lot of time to make, you may wish to wait before giving any of them to your rookies until they prove themselves, at least that’s how some gamers feel.

As such, Parker, who is a lieutenant, gets armor and a Heavy Plasma Rifle, while Rookie Paden doesn’t get any armor and has to use a normal pistol.
