My new old skateboard deck! It's an old old board that's been kicking around for ages, so I scraped the goofy graphics off the bottom and re did it. My new vintage wheels and bushings should be here in a week or so, and then I can take this baby out again!
Quick note, yes, I DID do all those benday dots by hand :P

Lol, oh yeah. Well some people will argue that he did that for different reasons (his reverence for the male body as the epitome of anatomical perfection, his latent homosexuality, etc), but the cold hard facts are that his womem look like dudes with horrible horrible boob jobs... Haha, yeah I do a few different art styles. My paintings are a little surrealist with ocassional intrusions by pop... :D Glad you like.
Still planning on making a chimera for your CD, but just retooling my digital painting style to something a little more suitable. Hope it will turn out decent :)

OO, that sounds pretty sweet... I've seen alien workshop decks before, but I'm afraid that's where my knowledge of skateboards ends. Haha, I'm not really an avid skater, I just started about a week ago and mainly use the board to cruise down the hill from the trainstation to my house, lol.
This is an old old dominion board, which is a manufacturer I've never heard of... Probably entry level, judging by the clunkly looking cast aluminum trucks.

Acually Michelangelo did use stecils, in a way. To transfer his drawings to the wet plaster of the Sistine Chapel and other frescos. A line drawing on paper was punched with little holes along the drawn lines and was used as a stencil. The drawing used to do this were called cartoons.
As an aside Roy Lichtenstein also used metal sheets punched with various sized holes to recreate the benday dots on most of his work.
This has been your TMI art lesson for today.

Hi! Yeah, I just used this Createx airbrush paint I have. Kinda a multipurpose paint, and the lines are just permanent marker. It's got an acrylic based sealer overtop (because an enamel based one would have bled the marker), but a latex based sealer probably would have worked better.
Also, don't assume that just because this is the stuff I used, it's the proper stuff. This is just the paints I had laying around :P
Thanks!
