Yeah it annoys me too, but I guess American RPGs are more like that, sure they ALWAYS get a choice, but they aLWAYS seem to know where to go and just listen to what some NPC says and hardly ever discuss it, like in FFX you will talk ages about Yunas's Pilgrimage, while in Baldur's Gate II when having to steal some high priestnesess necklace... not a word.... no a single "Is this the right thing.." "We have no other choice" or something ...

Oh yes, i just started playing one of those... Found a door and got worried... and then found I had to go through three that kept saying "There is a strong pressence" for 4 doors!

Each time i found a door that said it, walked back and saved.
