Sania is probably the only one of the two that actually has any level of respect for both my privacy and nerves. At least she has the decency to wait til I'm asleep before she starts fiddling with my emulsions -considering I couldn't stop either of them when they get started anyway. But damned if she doesn't get me when I least expect it. I strongly suspect it's like a calculated science to her. Regardless, it's at least a little more tolerable unless Samir gets to her, and then it's a hundred times worse. I don't know which is worse, being told I'm doing something incorrectly or being made to do something incorrect for a laugh at my expense.

"She seems very good at quite a few things, however, among them helping me actually find buyers for my wares on the public market. Having a pretty face probably helps with that -must be nice to pick and choose your appearance like that. Also, it turns out, these disguises must have been used before, to some extent. I was approached by someone who said he recognized Sania from a few outings to the library and that he wanted to speak with her sometime. I wasn't exactly sure what to say to him, so I just told him he was mistaken. That old 'she's-my-cousin-from-out-of-town-you-couldn't-know-her-because-she's-never-been-here-before' routine.
"I think he bought it because he gave me a very puzzled look and awkwardly backed away before leaving.
"At least I hope he bought it."
