Dark souls painting part. 5, Sentinels and Large Hollows
And now that my workweek is over i have a couple days to sit and paint again, this time featuring the Anor Londo Sentinels, who look big and scary... but take ten THOUSAND years to swing at you and by the time they have taken a single swing at you, you have killed them 6 times over...
And large hollows, who i believe are form Dark souls 3? I dont remember, but they are big boys, bigger then normal hollows.
Some nitpicks, i have shitty lightning so you cant see the subtle fading in the armours of the sentinels, who were coated entirly in a silver metalic, then dry brushed over with a dull gold, THEN washed with a rust colour, to show age, also the quality of these models is really easy to see here, those halberds are so warped... It sucks...

I don't really know much or play Dark Souls, but i do watch TearofGrace's vids on it from time to time. He's the one who got me into the Shadow of Mordor series. I think it's crazy how many different warchiefs there are, and they remember what you did to them and vice versa. They each have their own unique personalities too, some will come at you full force, others prefer to have their minions help, some (like chuckles) kill you and leave you when they have a chance to kill, others just don't let you survive at all. It's pretty cool i think.
Back on topic, nice job on the little models, i like the extra details around their feet, like the stones and grass. Make them look more "natural" rather than just being slapped on a piece of plastic. And yes, the halberds are bent a bit, but making mistakes is all about learning. At least now you know how to not make them warped right?

i didnt warp them, they came like that, its a result of a cheap molding process from the makers of the game, they rushed production after their kickstarter did better then they expected, resulting in too many backers, and preorders, and rather then delay the process and maintain quality they rushed out as many copies as they could and ignored quality completely.
