An original species I've been working on for quite some time, inspired by things, like the surge of monster mouth-tailed creatures all over the internet. I debated on tuning them up and possibly making adoptable, but I was actually hesitant to put these up here because of several reasons, one of which being these guys being adopted for the purpose of vore art.
"But they have giant mouths on their tails."
Yeah, but they're not for eating people/things. They're not for eating at all.
They're like crocodiles, and they use their mouthy tails for carrying babies.
Baby carrying and intimidation, the mouth tail actually doesn't have a very strong bite-force, just strong enough to shut and stay shut.
Males have whip-like tails that are covered in teeth-like barbs, which are lethal.
(my initial concept had the barbs facing the right direction for them to cause a ton of damage)
Females are bigger than males, and their social groups vary depending on territory and food availability. Usually it's one dominant females, several subordinate females, and a few lower-ranked males, though loners, bachelor groups and pairs are not uncommon either.
Also it's just a bit uncommon, but males having mouth tails and females having barbed tails or both having mottled tails (with neither trait) or even no tail is a possibility, but the latter is highly likely to lower survival rates.
Species is NOT open.
Species is still a WIP.
(not claiming tailmouth/mouthtail critters, just these ones)
