After the arrest of AI programmer Thomas William Knight following the battle of Denver. The anti-super taskforce formed in the wake of the Star's attack on the Bureau of Superheroes in Colmaton underwent heavy restructuring. The four countries supporting the organization (America, Britain, Canada and Australia) reformed it into the International Cosmic Defence Force. Several resources were given to the organization as well as partial autonomy which began when the ICDF decided to deploy a series of Apex Units and the 'hero' Alkahest to California following the Star's explosive departure in mid 2017.
Seeing as the preceeding incident not only caused confusion and slight panic (even further it set off several warnings in nuclear defense systems, people assumed they were under attack), the ICDF seeks to help restore order while hunting down it's targets.
