what kind of mary sue would tabrix be if she DIDN'T have magic children?

Tabrix got pregnant via Oderran, the forest prince. Oderran's mother was a super powerful, massive black beast that oozed burning pitch. Oderran's got steaming pitch for body fluids! Oderran's father was definitely not the same species as the singular monster that whelped him, so it's not surprising he's inter-fertile with other creatures just like she was.

Tabrix being a metafictional mary sue probably also helped with conception.

She was super unsure what to do at first! After talking it over with everyone she decided to be happy. She had children before when she was alive and just only Tabrix, but she didn't even KNOW what sex or babies were! She was still thinking like an animal! It was only after that she met Kaha and developed her own identity and got killed for it! So now was a chance for a do-over, and to prove to Geargaerge how serious she was taking other people--she'd carry monster babies to term because she wanted to have that with Oderran! A shared love! And to be a mom, gosh!

So she had two horrifying and one slightly less horrifying children. Hurray!

Emlix most resembles Oderran's mother. Oderran's mother was a lot more... solid, though. Emlix is a viscous but drippy tar, steaming hot, bubbling and constantly oozing. She takes after her grandmother, and after Tabrix's compulsion to uh, collect relationships. Emlix likes to be in control, and deeply craves people to look after, people whose lives she has full authorial power over.

Emlix has a strong mix of Story and Nothing powers. She's already basically invincible, being a mass of bubbling pitch, so like, only strong exposure to cold or strongly separating her body in all sorts of directions can even hurt her for real (excluding magic powers that cause Damage through Story conventions). She used Nothing Interpretations to back-access her grandmother's powers over darkness, corruption, and black flames, by interpreting them as a lacking or depriving of something. Fwoosh! Here comes a high-pressure power-wash of boiling pitch right in your face! She's picked up some basic universal magic, but she still relies on Nothing-Wilderness Interpretations to move between worlds when not using stable portals. She doesn't like directly Voiding stuff, because she sees it as a waste. EVERYTHING has the potential to be beautiful, and obedient, and loved!

Adult!Emlix owns a small company in the City in the Middle, and has several side-gigs on several small worlds where she's treated and rules like a God. She's still descended from the Up to Interpretation world, in part, so she gains Inheritance (Story (Magic power)) from context, so these are BASICALLY all farms for her. She really likes dictating people their lives, though! She tries to be good about it, but if there's a black sheep of the family, it's her. Tabrix tried to impart Geargaerge's instances that everyone's life is meaningful, but Emlix... doesn't not believe that, but just sorta... well. Of course their lives all have meaning, but that doesn't mean I don't have the right to control them, right? Especially if it's for their own good?

Emlix sometimes comes into conflict with Redaj and Uncle Anaf. She's frustrated, but she understands they have their own reasons for doing it, and she's a gracious loser when one of her borderline-evil regimes is shut down. Sometimes that's just how the Story goes! It's kind of like a game, to her, at this point. Sometimes she starts up an evil regime just to lure them in, just to try out some new strategy of beating them! She loves her brother deep down, so it's all cool.

Oderran isn't super pleased with Emlix turning out to be a lot like his own mother, and they don't speak much anymore.

Emlix sometimes gets Tabrix to go along with her shenanigans. Tabrix sometimes works with her, sometimes works against her. Sometimes they just hang out! They get along great! Tabrix sometimes tries to convince Emlix to not treat everyone as livestock, but Emlix always convinces Tabrix she really does care about all the people whose lives she controls with an iron (actually boiling pitch) fist, and Tabrix is just too proud of her daughter to protest!

Emlix is omnisexual and loves to uh, roughly love her chattel. Frequently, sometimes more than one at a time. She's a very physical creature and likes getting herself all over people. She's pretty much 100% dom and she lets herself veer into monster-girl territory with it sometimes. She never commits an outright rape, but it's frequently still pretty uh, dub-conny.

O, the psychopomp, most takes after Kaha. Her body is only ever partially real, the rear half of it fading in and out as she moves. She trails a constant cloak of Nothing, and she has... trouble not burning holes in the world around her. She stays in the Voidwaste a lot for the sake of protecting other worlds from herself. She takes after Kaha and Tabrix's more metafictional role as the end of worlds and the beginning of new ones, only instead of doing it incidentally she's actively pursuing it. She's basically a force of nature in the multiverse!

O has almost nothing but Nothing powers, and they're really, really powerful. As in, she can't even completely control them powerful. She has trouble believing in the true reality of things around her, and just that is enough for her massive weight to Void those things into Nothing. Her actual body is more sort of a convenience. She's the most metafictionally active of the children. She can consume entire worlds through her Nothing Interpretation. Her Interpretation is more advanced and less selfish than Kaha's is/was, though, and she's able to save a bunch of metafictional weight from that world. When she gathers enough weight, a new world forms naturally in her wake.

O lives in the Voidwastes, and travels to worlds that are dying to consume them. She understands this as her function and purpose, an automatic thing as innate to her as a chemical reaction. It isn't something she even has any real particular philosophical viewpoint on! It's what she's for. She enjoys it? She sometimes does feel bad for the lives she's ending, but she knows she's just eating stale, stagnated Stories and creating new ones from their corpses, so, you know, not that bad.

The other children are kind of creeped out by O, and most of her aunts and uncles don't really know how to uh, relate.

Oderran understands that O is a metafictional function now, and accepts it as one of those weird Tabrix things that happen. They still speak once in a while, and while O has trouble relating to people meaningfully, he's one of the few people who can bring any real personality out of her.

Tabrix and O cooperate to consume worlds a lot. Tabrix usually finds the most fit survivor and protects them while O devours the world. Tabrix gets Story by being on the last page of a world, O fulfills her function of devouring old worlds, and they get to leave a survivor who can go on to make their own world some day! Tabrix feels and functions at her most metafictional when around O, and on the highest level, they understand that they're both connected to the same metafictional source, which means they cooperate SUPER well! Yay!

O has no sexual interest whatsoever, and doesn't even manifest genitals on herself most of the time.

Redaj is, oh thank goodness, a NORMAL child. He takes after his father Oderran the most, and gets along really well with Uncle Anaf, because they both think life is precious and people deserve to be safe and happy. Only in Tabrix's family would thinking that make you an outlier! Redaj travels worlds, righting wrongs, overthrowing evils, and being a hero!

Redaj has a lot of Story powers, and his Nothing powers are mostly just additive instead of direct. His Wilderness Interpretation is that to be Wild is to be free, and that it applies to EVERYONE, which allows him to use it for even more power boosts when protecting others. His Nothing Interpretation piggy-backs on it, and allows him to create and exploit plot-holes and inconsistencies in order to always show up at the nick of time even when he really shouldn't be able to. He's learned several broad genres of magic, and has an Inventory like Tabrix that allows him immediate access to every weapon he has at any moment. He still has the dual Nothing-Wilderness combo that lets him travel worlds directly.

Adult!Redaj is a wandering hero and adventurer, like his mother. He teams up with Anaf a lot and they make a real good team! He's descended from the Up to Interpretation world, of course, so he gets more powerful the more context he gains, but unlike Tabrix, he doesn't stick around after the job is done, so his power level stays pretty consistent instead of inflating like hers. He makes an active attempt to not farm worlds and people for Story! This means he plays hard to get, which means, naturally, he has an obsessed lover who pines for/stalks him. He's worried he metafictionally made her do that, no matter how much Tabrix and Geargaerge assure him that isn't his fault/he can't control that even if he did do it! Redaj just, deep down, wants people to be safe, and happy. He can border on the naive with his idealism, and his active attempt to avoid being a mary sue means he, like Tabrix, accepts defeat even when he could cheat to undo it. Even if it means others might die! He sure is guilty about that, but he agrees it's not his place to really just be a God and force every story to end as he wants it.

Redaj and Emlix fight now and then, but they have no hard feelings. Redaj can sometimes be frustrated by her tendency to enslave people, but he knows her heart is in a... in an okayish place. Emlix takes it as a game, and only sometimes hold a grudge. They can talk peacefully when not in conflict! They do love one another! Redaj understands O is up to weird stuff, and while he sometimes wants or tries to stop her from devouring worlds, she's just way beyond his power level and also she's kind of performing a necessary function of reality, so he lets it slide. O is hard to relate to, but she's his sister, so Redaj still tries!

Redaj is Oderran's favorite and he doesn't hide it. Redaj actually thinks Oderran isn't doing nearly enough to protect the weak, and is a bit upset that everything on his father's world is sapient and so every meal comes at the cost of a thinking life, but he doesn't have any actual SOLUTION to it, so, you know, what you gonna do? Oderran taught Redaj how to swing ridiculous swords around and they get along as well as a father and son with similar-but-pointedly-different viewpoints can!

Tabrix sees Redaj as who she really honestly should be but could never bring herself to be, and she's really proud of him, and lets him know that in embarrassing ways. Sometimes Redaj and Tabrix team up, maybe even with Anaf, to defeat evil! Sometimes Redaj fights his own mother. Sometimes it's him and Uncle Anaf against his mom and his sister Emlix. Tabrix accepts her family is super weird, and she never lets a defeat change her viewpoint, since she still honestly just takes everything as a game. Redaj is sometimes uncomfortable with the things his mother does in worlds, but accepts that not everyone can share his outlook and idealism. Besides, she's trying, you know? You gotta give her credit for that, she's had a weird life! I mean not that that justifies everything she does but--look I'm not contradicting myself you shut up!

Redaj is omnisexual, but he's more into feminine aspects than masculine ones. He is constantly aware that he's a parasite that feeds on attention, and it makes it hard for him to be sexually assertive. All his sexual encounters are ones other people have talked him into, and he always goes in somewhat awkwardly. Although he's a brave and dashing hero, his lack of confidence sexually means he defaults to being submissive most of the time. He also worries he's like that because he's a metafictional parasite and being a sexually reluctant hero is part of his lure, so he's like, REALLY guilty about sex and relationships.
