Jericho Alerian wasn't always the strong, dour fighter he is today. Growing up in the cold north in Castle Deniral, young Jericho was a small boy, abused emotionally by his father who thought he wasn't worth the family name, and physically by his younger sister simply because she could. Even as an adult, Jericho was still small and frail, his only friend being his professor.

One day, Jericho sought to change his fate. Taking a family heirloom ruby that was rumored to grant wishes, Jericho wished to be strong, and a voice answered, granting his wish. Returning to his father proud of his new muscles and physique, Jericho was beaten and thrown from Castle Deniral by his lord father, exiled for using black magic to gain favour.

Now Jericho wanders the land, helping those crushed under oppressive boots like his father's, using dark magics of his own to help those who need it.
