Great work on the characters...but i fear the dark parts got destroyed by the graphic compression. I just see monochrome squares in their clothes and the background.

The squarish bits aren't jpg artifacts, they're strokes made with a squarish (digital) brush - you will note that they are of various sizes and tilts. It's a style thingamy to add a bit more texture and interest to areas that otherwise might be rather dull and static.
