The prototype i've been building for my character's wings! These are 16ft (5 meters) span width, remote controlled linear actuator on 12V battery and 3d printed joints with pvc pipes.
So far the prototype worked out quite nicely but it takes +17 seconds for this actuator to unfold, which is too long and I'll be getting a faster actuator soon for better results.
The entire frame weighs 7lb (3kg).
