Mako-Tech proudly presents the first in our line of bio-neural gel based computers. This one comes in a basic cube shape with a motif found to be appealing to many consumers. (vague portal fanart) This appealing glass and neon tube cube encloses a mass of bio-neural memory gel, the computer's hard drive, or "gel drive" as our RnD department calls it. The bubbles you see are caused by data being written to the gel drive.
Now for the most interesting part. The computer's brains and computational systems are located in the small mechanical fish which swims inside the cube. THis biology inspired piece of technology is the key component of our bio-gel computers. The fish contains wi-fi systems that will automaticaly interface with compatable keyboards, mice, monitors, and other hardware. His neural net, inspired by the workings of biological organisms is the computer's brains. At any time his skin can interface with any data in the cube's interior, and his neural net allows for computations beyond that of any standard chip based system. He also keeps the gel free of any possible impurities thanks to his gills. This power and instantanious data acsess means it can push framerates and graphics only accessable with super computers prior to this system. He swims thanks to artificial polymer based muscles, and a flexable skin membrane made of a latex coating embedded with the sensors needed to acsess the gel contained data. You also have the option to have him appear on your desktop at any time.
There were of course some unforseen side effects from using this much computing power and a biological computing system. Given acsess to enough external data, your "cyberfishy" has the capacity to develope sentience. He will develope a personality, and interests unique to the user, shaped by their internet interests and data stored on the computer. Rather than a bug, this is now concidered a full feature with the potential to greatly increase computer interactivity. THe first step to having your own cybernetic fishy pal is to give it a name upon booting him up for the first time, and allow him to explore your web pages.
Symptoms of sentient cyberfishy include:
- Partitioned off segment of harddrive for fishy's personal use
- A myspace page you don't remember opening
- Requests to RP with you
- Networking with other CF-100s
Useful tips:
- Be sure not to ignore your cyberfishy, or he will grow bitter
- Be sure to give him new material to read, watch and listen to on a regular basis
- Be sure to talk to him on occasion
Prospective customers may be interested to know that these come in multiple fish designs, including colours and designs, and for a limmited time our orca and dolphin models.
Should this prototype be successful, we will soon expand this series of hardware.
Should you experience any technical difficulties feel free to contact our IT department headed up by Chinook.
