Succubat parasites integrate thoroughly with their hosts, it's not obvious to the host at first, but the parasite is completely part of them.

At first the tail, butt wings, and chitin corset all seem like some external element forced on them, but before too long, the host will have full control over all of it. The succubat can eventually see through the tail eye, they can waggle their tiny wings, and they can put away the chitin corset. They can even do some of the less obvious things bats can do, like tell what gender everything is, or make cute chirping noises
