Having been a firefighter.... I'll just say this.... why are they on the roof with fire showing through it? If a fire was that bad, the department would've just gone into a surround and drown operation.

Heh. I was actually in a situation like that. We were called to an old school building, and during roof-ops, the roof got a tad spongy. Our OIC on the Roof simply said "EVERYONE OFF THE ROOF!" And no one had to say it twice. We scrambled off that roof so flippin' fast, we left one of our Circular Saws behind, and it went down with the roof. A few days later, the damn thing turned up at the station, after we'd gotten a new one and put it on the truck.... and the damn thing still worked.
Naturally, it got used for training purposes only after that.
