Love the whole concept of dual-handed shields. That may, in fact, be where the ridiculous notion that these guys can shoot at a Vanguard and get away with it lie.

Heh, some people may think that using shields is rather pussy-like, instead of just being all butch and charging warrior-like into battle. But while they're aggressive and nasty, they're not stupid
