This is what this guy was REALLY made for! I planned to do more with the EL wire, but ran out of time and supplies.
The EL wire is sensitive to music/sound. Here is a video (of horrible quality):

It is worth a watch!

Okay, I just need to ask now that I actually remember to... Could you please send me a note on exactly what that EL wire is, how easy it is to obtain, does it come in blue, and does it need how much electronical knowledge and materials to fix up? How safe is it to use in conjunction with/on skin, clothing, fur, and outside in rain/snow/cold weather?
Alot of questions, and probably not even all of the ones I would like to ask in the end, but... If you could be so kind, even a wikipedia article or something will be of aid, thank you. (in other notes, love your art, I'll hope to catch a commission some day)

REALLY easy to get and not too expensive. You can buy "plug and play" kits so that you dont have to do any work. Otherwise you just have to solder the wire to the lead-in wires which is really simple even if you know nothing about electronics.
You can sew it onto/into stuff or just wrap it around your arm or hand.. super safe, pretty durable. Different types are better for different uses (if you want something for outside, get the beefiest wire etc.)
Let me know if you have any other questions!
