Wow, this is a stunning piece! o_O I believe it's the warm colours that create the soothing atmosphere. I wouldn't mind finding a spot like that of my own, to stay and read a book while the sun sets in the soft evening breeze... The starry sky looks so wonderful, too. You're very good with skies. ^^ The spots appear to have been a painful task, as you said, but you pulled it off quite splendidly!

A few words of critique, though. I have noticed you tend to draw your characters with really short backs and their legs on the other hand seem quite long in comparison. This handsome leopard fellow has a bit of the same problem. In addition his tail seems to be attached a bit too high, but if you lowered it just a tiny bit, he'd seem like a lot more proportionate. :3

But that aside, this is a beautiful piece and a must-fave!

Yea, I'm aware of the tail problem, but just not willing to go back and mess with it, because I foolishly put the leopard and the tree on the same layer. But, I've never heard the back and leg comments from anyone else before, and I know I often have a habit of making the legs too short. I'm having a bit of trouble seeing that one in my art. Thank you for your comments!
