Bah! Powerfists are the most worthless Space Marine weapon EVAR! Lightning Claws is bestest!

LAWL.. i would have to say otherwise.. after i have 3 P.F's in a 15 man squad of bloodclaws, lead by a rune priest with master crafted lightning claws..well, lets just say it gets a bit "bloody".. :D but yeah, lightning claws have there advantages.. except for big things... XD

I have several "mock" Seargents in my Wolf Guard squads (the term I gave to my custom Chapter squads that go Bolter and Chainsword instead of stock bolter) that are packing Powerfists, and a PF is nice because if you throw in a plas pistol, you can really bust some heads (hell, a PP can be a tank buster on even a Pred if you hit from the side or rear) but my problem with it is that it goes last in init, which, unless you have an uberhard model (Termi armour?) chances are they'll have killed ya five times before ya hit the ground.

well the thing is, that despite the fact you go last, its still considered a "squad". so if you take any wounds, you can put them on the other guys in the squad rather your seargent/WG. that way, when his turn comes up, its all bloody hell! :D this really works well with the B.C.'s cuz you can field a minium of 11, and still take 3 P.F.'s :D
if you take 15, its just more guys who can take the hits for those P.F.'s

i think they changed that in 4.0

nope, in the new rules, only independent characters can be singled out and dish out damage to those only in base to base contact with him/her and up to the 2" "killzone" of the independent character (2" from the models base to base with it) so, any seargents or wolfguard models attached to a unit, are considered a whole unit (even if they have different armor saves, or toughness etc)

Ahhh, I see. I haven't been able to get a game in in awhile :( Been over...hmm, since like August since i last played. Last time I sent out the Wolves of the Warp (AKA, my custom Nova Wolves Chapter, a second founding of the Space Wolves) my Dread went ZOMGWTFBBQ levels of agro. he shot down three enemy dreads, shot a Landspeeder to its conponent bitz, and then stepped on the enemy Chaplain.

I WAS going to go on thursday, but my car is in the shop getting the exhaust system replaced. ah well.
