The greaves do fit really well. The tops touch my kneecaps but do not press into them. The whole costume is quite comfortable to wear.
Oh, and he made the greaves fit me perfectly with only one measurement - the distance from my kneecap to the floor. I also lent him the boots I wore to make sure that the greaves fit the boots correctly. Now, that's skill.
