TL;DR : Me super-duper busy with work. Not a single day off for art. Me sorry!
Hello everyone!
Lately i've been feeling guilty my posts haven't been "weekly" as i intended. Either i had to skip a week, or post it a day after. I'm not proud of it, but honestly my hands are quite tied ^^'
So, many of you know i got a promotion last August, which is awesome. I expected it to take more time than my previous job, so i accepted. It did took much more than i thought, but still i told myself i would adapt to that new job, and i did to certain point.
There's always something springing out in that place that needs my attention. But it's my job and i learnt to deal with it.
But then... [ the fire nation attacked ].
I had a cashier X i intended to fire. Reason was easy, X wasn't really a good worker.
What happened? X left a week before i intended to fire him, so i had to cover his spot untill i found somebody to fill his spot. ( Y )
And then i had to work with Y for two weeks untill i felt Y could be on his own. So long that's 3 weeks without a single day off. But the 4th week came and i was about to get my so waited weekend.
[ But then, the fire nation attacked again because they have nothing better to do ]
I have to say i wasn't at ease leaving Y alone there the weekend, but... Y was supposed to be ready by then - and was offered extra hours of training with others cashiers to reinforce, which was declined by Y -
Well, that was a huge disaster.
Not only i got 3 complaints of customers complaining about the slowness of Y, i got so many, many issues in my station after that weekend ( the most hillarious being getting a call from my security system telling us our alarm system was about to die, apparently Y turned off the security system power switch, instead of the illumination one ).
So yeah. I fired Y. I didn't even want to wait to get a replacement, i better work with no days off than letting another weekend to that former employe. *sigh*
So, that means at least 3 weeks more starting today of no rest Buns =D
I'm on the watch for new cashiers and the interview will be ruthless.

Well guys, i'll be artist-wise busy, i'll try my best to find scraps of time - if i don't invest it on social life or letting out steam- but i'll be answering telegrams and notes as always.

Also, I know the feeling. I worked at a gas station and even though I was never a manager, I was trusted enough to train others. I trained one person and they seemed to do alright but were hesitant on the lottery machine. I wrote and taped down all the things that she could do right next to it. When she started to work on her own, she kept calling ME how to do things. Not the manager, assistant manager, ME and my answer was "IT WRITTEN DOWN RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!!!! " I would get several calls from her a day for a week. She was gone the next.
So take your time, get the people you need. Work on you and don't worry about us until you're ready.

Ouch hun >< sorry work with X & Y went badly. Almost would have been better if the fire nation did attack!
I hope you can find a replacement soon, and that you can get at least some time to relax in the meantime *runs to fetch you drink, cake and neck massages*
