In the sparkling waters of the crystal pond, Hrokr and Brokul bond further, Brokul even demonstrating he can be rather charming when he's sober.
As a side note however, I made the mistake of deciding to use a finalized render that had shadow quality at about a medium rather than a higher value. As such, it's a little spotty, and I had to over-use some effects to hide it. Still, I want to make sure I provide regular content, so even if it's not perfect, hopefully the concept by itself has emotional value!
Hrokr: A human ranger, his adventures led him to encounter Brokul. After saving the orc's life, the two traveled together and eventually formed a close connection, growing attached to one another. The two now travel the lands in each others company, in search of adventure, and the opportunity to do good.
Brokul: An orc who retreated into to the mountains following the tragic loss of his village and family at the hands of bandits. Finding refuge in the teachings of mountain monks who trained him in the graceful unarmed combat style, he searched for purpose while using his strength, deceptive agility and intelligence to his advantage. Eventually meeting Hrokr, he found the human to be surprisingly attractive as a partner, and after Hrokr saved his life, he found an excuse to serve the human as an honor-bound and only slightly unnecessary guardian. Eventually the attachment between the two strengthened, as the two have continued to adventure together as close companions.

Brokul's a unique orc! Bigger, stronger and leaner than most, with a perfect balance of strength, agility and skill, while steadily improving his mind thanks to time spent with a world-wise Ranger. He's definitely favorable when it comes to putting those big strong hands to use...!
