Actually, I was wondering about that. If the nosferatu did exist within our world. Wouldn't they be a boon to the medical field? They'd be able to dispose of blood that wasn't viable for human usage. They'd be able to tell blood borne anything with their senses of taste. And they'd make some incredible phlebotomist's when it came to drawing blood safely
Yeah, but then you'd have to worry about them sneaking snacks mid-draw. Also, it does raise the question of if Nosferatu could act as vectors for bloodborne illnesses/pathogens, like HIV, malaria, and such, since there's indirect blood contact happening. Not to mention the standard health risks for any mouth-inflicted wound, like Staphylococcus aureus infections.
They might be vectors but, only if they're biting. If they were to take a "third" vial in case they needed to feed they could do so in secret. And even then. They could probably recognize any form of blood anomaly almost as fast if not faster then a machine. Just from the smell
