Right when you thought I was done uploading different variations of Matt, another one comes right around the corner!

Matt as a Flareon actually has an interesting backstory to it. A number of years ago (We're talking back in 2000/2001 when I first came up with him as a character), I contemplated making Matt into a Flareon. It wasn't until a number of friends felt I myself fit Umbreon as an Eeveelution that I decided to follow that route, making Matt into an Umbreon. (I also felt that since Matt's spouse is an Espeon, it would fit the iconic idea of a "day/night" couple.

Having drawn Matt as a Flareon makes me want to draw his parents! Matt's parents are actually Flareons, which would explain why he's pretty fluffy for an Eeveelution critter. ^^ However, this form above is not canon to his storyline. It's just something fun I felt I should draw. ^^
