At first light on the third day of his imprisonment, Ahastar is awoken by the sound of footsteps approaching down the stone corridor towards his cell, sickle claws clicking sharply with each step. The cell door is heaved open and a pair of large white raptor feet stroll up alongside Ahastar's restrained head, sleek and black-padded and clearly female, despite their powerful structure. As Ahastar strains to look up at their owner, a calm, amused voice floats down from above: "Open your mouth."

Already heavily bruised from a punishment trampling by the resident interrogation rex, Ahastar fearfully obeys, lying still as the sleek white female mounts his belly and lounges backwards, her tail and hindlimbs splaying forwards towards his head.

"Good raptor," she purrs degradingly, and Ahastar has a last glimpse of two large, black soles looming up on either side of his face before he is plunged into warm, padded darkness.
